The New Orleans Saints kickoff their two-game road swing in Jacksonville against the Jaguars on Sunday.
The Saints hold the all-time ledger against the Jaguars, 4-2, and have won the last three matchups in the series.
A look at all the Saints and Jaguars’ position groups and who has the edge:
QUARTERBACK:
Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is coming off his best game since Week 7 of the 2015 season. Against the Buccaneers, Bridgewater completed 76.5 percent of his passes for 314 yards and four passing touchdowns, the latter of which tied his career-high.
Through his five games, Bridgewater’s completion percentage of 70.25 percent ranks fourth among all NFL quarterbacks. And his yards per game rank 26th.
New Orleans Saints star linebacker Demario Davis wore a headband on the field for the team’s first four games of the 2019 season. It read: “Man of God.”
After
Week 4, Davis was fined $7,017 by the NFL for wearing the headband.
(Apparently, the headband just wasn’t noticed those first three weeks.)
According to the NFL, Davis’ headband is not allowed due to the “personal messages” article in the rulebook.
Fair enough. Since Davis is no longer allowed to wear the headband, however, he’s decided to sell it and donate the proceeds to a charity.
METAIRIE, La. — Deonte Harris had already scored on a 99-yard kickoff return, a 76-yard pass and a 39-yard pass during the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs in 2017.
So with 5:57 remaining and Harris’ Assumption College leading by five points, the University of Findlay did what most teams tried to do that season – kick the ball away from him.
Unfortunately, Findlay’s squib kick squirted past two other Assumption players and wound up rolling right into Harris’ hands.
And he promptly returned it 80 yards for another score. Read more here.

Saints react to NFL admitting botched call vs. Texans: ‘That’s a game-changer. That can’t happen.’
Al Riveron was left to clean up another officiating snafu at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Monday night. This time, at least, it didn’t cost the Saints a game – or a trip to the Super Bowl.
Drew Brees was furious. Sean Payton was rather calm. And Cam Jordan waxed philosophical, after the officials in Monday night’s 30-28 Saints victory over the Texans saw yet another half end with fans, media members and Saints coaches and players confused about what appeared, at least on the surface, to be a fairly simple call to make when broken down.
NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints finally broke their Week 1 curse in the most improbable fashion imaginable: A 58-yard field goal by Wil Lutz as time expired for a 30-28 victory over the Houston Texans — just 37 seconds after they had lost the lead by allowing a two-play, 75-yard touchdown drive.
It was the longest field goal in the final 10 seconds of a season opener since the NFL/AFL merger, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. So that’s all it took?!
