New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper has been added to the active roster and expects to play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, he confirmed through a text message.
“I’m back and very excited to finally be able to do what I do best. Play football,” said Sharper, who has been on the physically-unable-to-perform list since the start of training camp because of an offseason knee surgery.
Sharper returned to practice for the first time Wednesday and said he felt great and ready to play throughout the week.
