Thomas still basking in Super glow

Since helping the New Orleans Saints win Super Bowl XLIV, Pierre Thomas has enjoyed the spoils of victory — and rightfully so.

He participated in a victory parade through downtown New Orleans that drew an estimated 800,000 fans, attended the NBA All-Star festivities in Dallas, and visited the bright lights of New York City, Las Vegas and Hollywood.

But to Thomas, there’s no place like home.

That’s where he was headed Friday, finally, to visit family and friends for the first time since the Super Bowl. To top it off, he’ll throw out the ceremonial first pitch for a Chicago White Sox game Thursday night in U.S. Cellular Field.

“I can’t wait to do that,” Thomas said Thursday night, flashing his infectious smile. “I have to get my arm warmed up.”
