His name is Bernard Saverio Diliberto, we knew him as Buddy D. A sports reporter who could say Mitsubishi with a flare. Buddy was there, along with us in the good times and the many bad times. When there was a flicker of hope he promised if the Saints ever made it to the Superbowl he would wear a dress.
Well, they did it, we did it and in Heaven Buddy did it. No more bags, no more wait ’till next year, no more coulda, shoulda, woulda. Da Saints and Da Who Dat Nation delivered.
DA BRAWDS MARCHED FOR BUDDY D. The Cajun Cannon, Bobby Hebert, delivered on a promise and we entered into the promised land. Superbowl XLIV is in the history books.
