Every offseason list of potential free agents will have New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees near the top.
Apparently, you can prepare to take the 41-year-old off the board in the near future.
Speaking from his 13th Pro Bowl appearance, Brees told NFL Network’s Jane Slater that if he returns for a 20th NFL season, it will be with the Saints.
“I have never been in the situation where I was mulling over the thought of [returning],” Brees said. “To me, each one of these contracts, I don’t know how many it’s been with the Saints, I’ve played with them 14 years, it’s not a matter of if it gets done, it’s when. At this stage of my career, it’s not a given that I’m coming back every year, but when that time comes, I’ll always be a Saint.”
Arguably one of the most enthusiastic and recognizable fan bases in the NFL, The Big Easy Mafia, was founded in 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a part of the Who Dat Nation, The Big Easy Mafia are the Diehard members of the Saints fanbase. Many of whom dawn black and gold outfits every game at the Mercedes Benz Superdome.
So glad to see Big Easy Mafia in the Who Dat Nation !

Drew Brees declined to comment on whether Sunday’s 26-20 loss to the Minnesota Vikings would his last game with the New Orleans Saints.
“I’m not making any comments on that, other than I’ve told you guys this over the last couple of years, I’ve always just taken it one year at a time and kind of reevaluate each offseason and find the things I want to get better at and move one,” Brees said.
The NFL’s All-Time leading passer just completed the 19th season of his NFL career, one that saw him set the league record for touchdown passes and throw for nearly 3,000 yards and 27 touchdowns despite missing five games with an injured right thumb.
When the New Orleans Saints appeared to be in their most dire straights offensively, they turned to the player who can do it all to get them right.
And in a losing effort, Taysom Hill really did a little bit of everything Sunday in the Superdome, and he did it at a high level. Playing his typically varied role on the field, Hill finished Sunday’s playoff game with 50 passing yards, a team-high 50 rushing yards and two catches on two targets for 25 yards and a touchdown.
The Minnesota Vikings bounced the New Orleans Saints from the playoffs with a 26-20 overtime win Sunday. And the final play will have plenty of people talking.
Kirk Cousins lofted a 4-yard pass on a fade route on third down to Kyle Rudolph with P.J. Williams in coverage. Rudolph hauled the pass in for the win.
Video replay shows Rudolph appearing to extend an arm to create the space needed to make the game-winning catch.
The Saints will dress in white for their playoff opener, and recent history would say that’s a good sign.
Normally reserved as a road uniform combination, New Orleans announced Friday afternoon they’d wear their white jerseys and white pants — a combination they won all five of their games in them since they were debuted in Week 6 against the Jaguars.
