The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms with rookie tailback Mark Ingram, both he and his agent Joel Segal have confirmed.
Terms of the deal have not been released yet. Ingram is here at Saints camp to sign the deal this morning. So it’s possible he could make it out to the practice field before this morning’s session ends around 11 a.m. If so, he would probably be more of a spectactor than a participant.

New Orleans Saints tailback Reggie Bush has agreed to a new contract with the Miami Dolphins, agent Joel Segal confirmed.
That will allow the Saints and Dolphins to complete a trade for Bush, as was originally reported by Fox’s Jay Glazer. Terms of that trade have not been disclosed.
The Saints are planning to issue a statement later today.
Bush’s new deal will reportedly be for just under $10 million over two years, according to a league source.

The New Orleans Saints are reportedly discussing a rare “sign and trade” arrangement that would send tailback Reggie Bush to the Miami Dolphins, according to Fox’s Jay Glazer.

Reports indicate the Saints have added two more undrafted free agents to their roster. If true – and the Saints have not commented on a single named player since the NFL lockout ended Monday – it would bring to 11 the number of such players to join the Saints.
One of the players was North Dakota State cornerback Josh Gatlin, the other Coy Beilby, an offensive tackle out of Marian University.

The Saints have wasted no time jumping into the undrafted free agent pool, and the first player expected in Metairie later this week is Clemson strong safety DeAndre McDaniel, according to published reports. Clubs were allowed to talk with ndrafted free agents Monday night, just hours after the players signed off on the framework for a new collective bargaining agreement.
McDaniel, 6-feet, 217, was a first team All-ACC player and third team All-American last year. He finished his Clemson career having played in 53 games, which tied a school record, and 35 starts. In that span he recorded 296 tackles (18.5 tackles for loss), with two sacks and 15 interceptions.

Continuing to push the undrafted free agent pedal to the metal, the Saints made Ohio State defensive tackle Dexter Larimore the second such addition to their roster Monday night.
Larimore first drifted on to the radar of NFL scouts when he notched 20 tackles in the Buckeyes 2010 Rose Bowl victory over Oregon, butdespite being a four-year contributor in Columbus he was not invited to the NFL Combine.

Readiness factor: The Saints got a lot of media attention during the players-only workouts. This team did as good a job of handling the lockout as any team in the league. The workouts were well attended, and quarterback Drew Brees and linebacker Jonathan Vilma were running the offense and defense, respectively. The coaches weren’t around, but Brees and Vilma have basically been coaches on the field for the past few years, so the Saints probably weren’t getting away with too many mistakes while working on their own. It also helps that the Saints are largely a veteran team. They also have a coaching staff that’s remained mostly in place. The lockout wasn’t ideal for any team, but the Saints are probably in better shape than most as they come out of it.
