The New Orleans Saints have re-signed restricted free agent tight end David Thomas.

New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Zach Strief has re-signed with the team, inking a deal in the $1.75 million neighborhood, according to people familiar with the arrangement.
Jeremy has just launched his authentic Facebook Fan Page (facebook.com/shockey), that along with his Twitter page (twitter.com/jeremyshockey), is allowing his fans to see who the REAL him for the first time.
Given how misunderstood Jeremy feels he is, he decided to truly embrace the Social Media route in order to give his fans and football fans alike a behind the scenes look into who he is as a person, what he is doing on a daily basis to prepare for next season, etc. He’s sharing exclusive videos with fans through both pages, where he already has more than 100,000+ fans combined!

New Orleans’ defensive line. In the course of just a few days, the Saints have done a nice job of solidifying their defensive front. They signed defensive end Alex Brown to a relatively reasonable (two years for roughly $6 million) deal and defensive tackle/end Anthony Hargrove, whom the Saints feared losing as a restricted free agent, signed his tender. The Saints still might add a defensive lineman or two in the draft, but that’s no longer a big priority. Brown gives the Saints a defensive end who is more consistent than former starter Charles Grant. Hargrove probably could challenge for a starting job next to defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis and he also could probably challenge Brown if the Saints let him focus totally on playing defensive end. But Hargrove might be best as a super sub. His versatility and talent basically gives the Saints a fifth starter on the defensive line.
Since scoring a touchdown and helping the New Orleans Saints win Super Bowl XLIV over the Indianapolis Colts in February, T.F. South graduate and star running back Pierre Thomas has been busy.
“I was on ‘TMZ’ (with Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian), hosted a victory party with teammate Lance Moore in Las Vegas and was on ‘Jimmy Kimmel (Live!)’ twice, once in a skit and once on the actual set of the show,” Thomas, wearing a big smile, said.
Tuesday night, Thomas and many of those friends packed Popolano’s Restaurant in Lansing to raise money for his favorite foundation, “Dreams for Kids,” which helps spread awareness for those in need. Its slogan is “Changing lives, one kid at a time.”
The New Orleans Saints have reached an agreement with free agent defensive end Alex Brown, team spokesman Greg Bensel and Brown’s agent Joel Segal confirmed.
Segal said it’s a two-year deal.
Brown played with the Chicago Bears for the past eight seasons.
Brown, 30, was a fourth-round selection by the Bears in 2002 out of Florida. He was scheduled to make $5 million this season.
In Chicago, he played in 127 games, including 107 starts, totaling 483 tackles, 43 1/2 sacks, five interceptions, 16 forced fumbled and 11 fumble recoveries. He also blocked three kicks.
Last season Brown had 39 tackles, six sacks, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery and five tackles for losses. He started every game.
Former Bears defensive end Alex Brown was signed by the Saints. This is a major signing by the Saints. Alex Brown is going to look great in the Black and Gold.
Remember how Brown harassed Brees through out the 2006 NFC Championship game in Chicago.
Here is a highlight video from college, notice the hit he lays on Tee Martin. Reminds me of another Gator who plays for the Saints.
