Talk about striking while the iron is hot. A Louisiana lawmaker has proposed “Who Dat Nation’’ license plates be made available by the state.
You want to see government move quickly on something? Keep an eye on this one. The bill is supposed to be filed before the next legislative session starts at the end of March. Just a hunch here, but I’m thinking it would not be a wise career move for any politician to oppose this one.

State Representative Rickey Hardy says he asked House staff to draft a bill even before the Saints upset the Colts in Super Bowl 44.
Slidell Senator A.G. Crowe also plans to file a bill creating the “Who Dat” license tags. Crowe wants to sell the plates for $50 to $60, with proceeds going to charitable causes.
Hardy’s bill calls for just a one-time extra $3.50 fee, that would help defray the cost of
Hardy doesn’t see much opposition to his proposal.
The bill will be discussed during the legislative session, which begins on March 29th.
