Ok, so the outcomes haven’t been as decisive as Saints fans have come to expect. But it doesn’t matter.
The Saints are 13-0, only one of just seven NFL teams to reach this point, joining the Colts (13-0) as the lone remaining unbeaten team in the league.
And as long as the Saints continue to win, they’ll remain atop the NFL Power Rankings by The Times-Picayune. In the latest rankings, the Saints are followed by the Colts, Vikings and Chargers at the top.
Meanwhile, the Browns, fresh off a Thursday night upset of the defending Super Bowl Champion Steelers, have catapulted out of the cellar and moved up No. 29.
The rest of America seems to have caught on to what New Orleanians have thought all season – Drew Brees is playing like the best player in the NFL.
The New Orleans Saints’ quarterback is the leading vote getter for the 2010 Pro Bowl, according to information released on NFL.com. He has 1,120,535 votes to take a razor-thin lead over Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, who has 1,120,174. The Gulf Coast is dominating the voting as New Orleanian Peyton Manning – the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts – is third.
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, New England quarterback Tom Brady, Indianapolis tight end Dallas Clark, Cincinnati running back Cedric Benson, Tennessee running back Chris Johnson and Houston wide receiver Andre Johnson round out the top 10.
Pro Bowl voting will continue on NFL.com/probowl through Dec. 21. The NFC and AFC teams will be announced Dec. 29.
New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper is the only other Saint to lead his position in voting. He has 377,297. Eleven member of the Vikings are leading in position voting.

After reading a bunch of storied and bunch of blogs I think that Pat Yasinskas has one of the best around. SO.. if you have not taken the time to look at his stuff you really should.
Here is a nice example.
“Because the Saints won, the fake field goal is forgotten and, to a lesser degree, the Saints can shrug off the struggles of the secondary.
For now, anyway. No team can be perfect in every game. But the Saints have a perfect record. Odds are, they finish 16-0.
That’s great, but maybe all those concerned fans have a good point when they expect perfection. If you truly are going to have a perfect season, you need to be playing well in December, so you can play very well in January and February.”

ATLANTA — Among the several inspirational bands that New Orleans free safety Darren Sharper wears prominently on his right wrist is a thin, black band of elastic that reads simply: “Finish strong!”
It is a motto the Saints have preached since the end of the 2008 season, a campaign in which New Orleans often wilted in the fourth quarter and lost five games by three points or fewer. It is a motto the 2009 Saints take seriously, one that has served them well in this undefeated season (13-0), and a credo that was hardly ignored in Sunday’s 26-23 victory over the surprisingly scrappy Atlanta Falcons.
“We take pride in the [motto],” Sharper said after a fourth quarter in which the Saints had an interception and then a stop on a fourth-and-2 play with 1:12 remaining. “We live it.”
The victory secured a first-round playoff bye for the Saints and moved them one game closer to clinching home-field advantage throughout the postseason. Atlanta, which played without quarterback Matt Ryan and tailback Michael Turner for a second straight week, has lost four of five, and at 6-7 is teetering on the brink of playoff elimination.
ATLANTA — Reggie Bush flashed some of his vintage explosiveness and elusiveness as he broke free from a frustrating month in the New Orleans Saints’ 26-23 victory against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at the Georgia Dome.
“I thought Reggie Bush was outstanding,” Coach Sean Payton said after Bush gained 102 all-purpose yards and scored two touchdowns on a total of 13 touches against the Falcons.
Bush busted out a 19-yard run, scored on catches of 21 and 6 yards and returned his only punt for a season-long 23 yards.
“I’m always anxious to make plays,” said Bush, who said he has felt healthy for a few weeks, even though he looked faster and fresher than he has since a sore knee sidelined him in Weeks 11 and 12.
This is truly amazing. Hat’s off to the WHO DAT NATION for showing up and welcoming home the undefeated Saints.
The video reminds me of Bacchus crowds. This outpouring of love and support is having a great effect on the team. They are playing their hearts out for all of us!
ATLANTA — The charmed season of the New Orleans Saints continues.
The Saints hold off the Atlanta Falcons 26-23 here at the Georgia Dome in a game much too close for comfort.
Drew Brees had another big performance, going 31-of-40 for 296 yards and three touchdowns.
His counterpart Chris Redman, was also very good, going 23-of-34 for 303 yards and a touchdown.
The Saints are 13-0 and come back home to play the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night at the Superdome.
